Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Care and Support

The foundation is committed to providing integrated HIV/AIDS care to marginalized communities in Samburu. By combining medical treatment with psychosocial and nutritional support, the program empowers those affected to live healthy, dignified lives despite limited access to healthcare.

Testing and Counseling
Free, confidential HIV testing is offered with pre- and post-test counseling. Mobile clinics ensure even remote pastoralist communities are reached.

Access to Treatment
Partnerships with health facilities guarantee a steady supply of antiretroviral (ARV) medication. Transport stipends help patients attend clinic appointments, improving treatment adherence.

Combating Stigma
Community education combats discrimination against People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Local leaders are trained as advocates to promote acceptance and dignity.

Nutritional and Psychosocial Support
Patients adhering to ARV therapy receive food packages to fight malnutrition. Support groups provide mental health care and peer encouragement.

Prevention Programs
Prevention efforts include condom distribution, PrEP education, and mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programs for pregnant women.

Why It Matters
With HIV prevalence in Samburu rising to 3.1% in 2023 (NASCOP), access to care is more critical than ever. This program addresses both medical and social barriers through a holistic approach.

With support, we can fund testing for 200 people, provide ARVs for 50 patients, or run stigma-reduction workshops for a year. Together, we can turn HIV/AIDS into a manageable condition and bring hope to Samburu.
