Our Focus Areas

Protecting Girls from FGM & Early Marriages
At Future Blossoms, we protect girls from FGM and early marriage by rescuing those at risk, enrolling them in school, and engaging communities to shift harmful traditions. Through cultural dialogue, alternative rites of passage, and programs like “Cows for Classrooms,” we empower girls to grow up safe, educated, and free.

Rescued from a Death Sentence
“At 14, I thought my life was over. My family had accepted dowry, the marriage rites were done, and I was hours away from being handed over to a man I barely knew. What no one told me was that he had tested HIV-positive—and kept it secret.
A nurse at a partner clinic alerted one of Future Blossoms’ field agents. They stepped in just in time and stopped the wedding.
Today, I’m safe in boarding school. The nightmares are fading, and I’ve found new dreams. I want to become a doctor—to save lives, just like mine was saved.”

A Mother’s Secret Rebellion
“At 12, I was promised to a man old enough to be my father. My own dad had sworn I’d never see a classroom again. But my mother—quietly, bravely—sent a message to Future Blossoms, risking everything to save me.
They gave me shelter, listened to my fears, and supported my family with patient counseling. No fights. Just truth—about the risks of early marriage and the power of education. Slowly, my family began to see a different future for me.
Today, I’m still in school, chasing dreams my father once thought impossible.”

What Moves Us

These are Joyce and David. Like many children in Samburu, they spend their days herding livestock across sun-scorched, water-scarce land—often without meals and far from any school.
While others their age sit in classrooms, they walk for miles just to survive. Their story is not unique, but it is urgent.
At Future Blossoms, we are moved by children like Joyce and David—and we are committed to changing their story.
